Park run is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event that happens every Saturday at 9am. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you!
There are two park runs in the city. The Southend Park Run takes place at Gunners Park, off New Barge Pier Rd, Shoebury, Southend, Essex. See Course page for more details. And Chalkwell Park Run that takes place at Chalkwell Beach, Chalkwell Esplanade, Westcliff on Sea, Essex, SS0 8JJ. See Course page for more details.
What does it cost to join in?
Nothing - it's free! but please register before you first come along. Only ever register with parkrun once and don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode. If you forget it, you wont get a time.
How fast do I have to be?
Everyone takes part for their own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!
