The NHS is asking GPs not to prescribe bath oils and shower preparations to any new patients. They are also asking GPs to review the prescriptions of patients who currently receive these items. The aim is to stop prescribing them. A study showed that using these preparations do not help eczema symptoms. So, prescribing them is not a good use of NHS resources.
